For Couples

The Princess V39 takes eight and feels intimate without feeling small — the natural pick for a sunset charter or a honeymoon day. For something with more deck to stretch out on, Miss GiGi is worth a look.

For Families

Princess 64 and Princess 42 are the family yachts: air-conditioned interiors to retreat into, easy swimming access from the stern, and crews used to having children on board.

For Groups of Eight to Ten

Princess 42, Cranchi 47 or the Princess V39 give you the right balance of luxury and space without paying for capacity you will not use.

For Groups of Ten to Twelve

Princess 64, Gelati 415, Prestige 500 and Fairline 43 all carry twelve comfortably, with enough deck and shade that a full boat still feels relaxed.

For Birthdays and Large Parties

For Overnight Charters

What's Included in a Private Yacht Charter

Inclusions vary by vessel, so treat this as what a typical full-day charter covers rather than a fixed list.

• Captain and professional crew for the duration of the charter
• Fuel for the agreed itinerary
• Food and refreshments — Thai buffets, Western BBQs, seafood lunches or a beach picnic, depending on the package
• Snorkelling equipment: masks, fins and life vests
• Onboard facilities — marine bathrooms, air-conditioned interiors, sun decks and sound systems
• Hotel or pier transfers in an air-conditioned vehicle
• Drinking water, soft drinks and fresh tropical fruit

What to Expect on the Day

1. Choose your yacht

Browse the vessels above, tell us your group size, and we will narrow it to two or three that genuinely fit.

2. Check your date

We confirm availability for your date and duration — half day, full day, sunset or overnight.

3. Plan the itinerary

Your destination, your plan, it's a snorkelling-led day, or a slow cruise with long swim stops. We will suggest a route based on your date and the conditions.

4. Meet your captain and crew

You are collected from your hotel and taken to the pier, where you board and run through a short safety briefing.

5. Cruise

Coastal views, turquoise water and a boat that is yours for the day.

6. Swim, snorkel, eat, explore

Quiet beaches, reefs, water activities and lunch on board or ashore, at whatever pace the group wants.

7. Return to Koh Samui

Back at the pier in the late afternoon or evening, with your transfer waiting.

Private Charter or Group Tour?

Best Time for a Yacht Charter in Koh Samui

Koh Samui sits on the Gulf coast, which runs on a different weather pattern from Phuket and the Andaman side. In broad terms:

• The first half of the year is generally the calmest and clearest, and the busiest for charters.
• The middle months usually bring occasional showers but sea conditions that stay workable most days.
• Late in the year is the wettest and windiest stretch, and the period most likely to affect a route.

Christmas, New Year and Songkran are the peak dates — book well ahead if you are travelling then. For a full-day charter we usually recommend a 9:00 to 10:00 AM departure to make the most of the daylight.

Rather than promise conditions by month, we check the forecast for your specific dates before confirming a route, and your captain makes the final call on the day with guest safety first. Send us your travel window and we will tell you honestly what to expect.

What a Private Yacht Charter Costs

Charter prices depend on the yacht, the duration, the group size, the distance and what you want laid on. Day rates across the motor yachts currently start from ฿30,000 for the Oryx 40 and run to ฿250,000 for the Sunseeker 60, with most of the range sitting between ฿45,000 and ฿80,000. 

A charter is priced per boat, not per person, so the cost per head drops sharply with group size. A ฿60,000 charter split between twelve guests is ฿5,000 each for a full day with crew, transfers and equipment.
